FAQ's

Anndata has been brought to life by a group of like-minded professionals (individuals) who have come together with a sole objective to provide a solution we believe can help the ongoing challenge during these difficult times. It is based on the principle of ISR (Individual Social Responsibility).

We would prefer if you commit to giving food only when you are very sure of the same as the Recipient would be hungry and would not have made alternate arrangements for the meals. However if there are given circumstances and you are not able to give we advise you to let the Recipient know through the app/site of your inability to give food at that time.

Anndata aspires to build a nodal point at many localities across the cities and villages. However if you do not find a nodal point in close proximity you may choose to build a new nodal point with request permission of the property/ residence/ shop ( barber shop) etc for that particular locality

As a Donor you can choose to select a point nearby your place of residence or work and ask the Recipient to come to a particular point to pick u the food e.g Bus Stop, Guard House , Daily Needs Corner, or any other public place that is convenient and safe for both you and the Recipient/Donne

The process of signing up as a nodal center is different from signing up as a regular user i.e. a donor or recipient. A nodal center is expected to be a point of mutual exchange between the recipient and the donor. To sign up for the same, you have to first select the option to sign up as a nodal point, then select your location on the map and fill in your complete address ,and then submit your application. After this, once your submission has been reviewed, you’ll be able to start functioning as a nodal point from the location you picked.

Yes, the donor and recipient can speak to each other, but it’s donor’s choice to share his contact info or not.

It is our endeavour that both the donor and Recipient show up one they have agreed and omitted to the service. However under any circumstance either of them can't make it , we request they let each other know so as to not disappoint the other person.

The maximum quantity of ration/food you are willing to give depends upon the type of request you are willing to accept from the recipient. Requests can range from a recipient asking for food or one person or for many people in their family, and as a donor you are free to select any consumer request of any size, i.e. the one that suits you the best.

The minimum quantity of ration/food you are willing to give depends upon the type of request you are willing to accept from the recipient. Requests can range from a recipient asking for food or one person or for many people in their family, and as a donor you are free to select any consumer request of any size, i.e. the one that suits you the best.

No, the recipient won’t be contacting you for some other kind of help since it’s your choice to share your details with the recipient and you can go ahead and block the recipient if you recieve any calls post transaction.

No, your details won’t be shared with anyone. In case you decide to share your contact details to ease the process of transaction, then only contact number would be exchanged between the donor and recipient and all other details would still remain encrypted. and safe.

Yes, but you’d have to register separately for both of them, Since once the user type is fixed it can’t be changed.

Quantity of ration/food recipient will be dependent on the willingness of the donor giving the food. It’s our request and suggestion that recipients do not take more food than what is required.

Anndata service does not deal with cash .

We aspire to be linked with all the initiatives that can help grow this Person to person network and service to help the recipients in need. We are constantly looking for partners to help promote Anndata.

We do not have any official engagement for getting permission for you to step out at the time of the lock down. However we believe with certain services being opened from the 20th April may enable you to share the service with others to hand over the food/ration while respecting the government guidelines for lockdown nd social distancing.

Anndata is a person to person service and we ask both the donor and recipient not to meet physically. The food drop off can be managed with keeping the social distancing in mind.

Maybe you have been a member of the Anndata Community for a while, but you're still awaiting your first request for food/ration Or maybe you have received a request but suddenly you didn't receive anymore. Both circumstances can make you wonder if something is not right or you're doing something wrong. However, both instances are very common. there could be many more Donors compared to recipients in your locality/ area and that is a scenario we all are working towards. Please wait and you would sure have an opportunity to help someone.

Our service matches the donor to recipients in a particular locality /area. there may be more recipients than donors at any point in time and therefore the request made by you may not be meeting any specific donors ability to give food/ration. You may want to update your requests with different quantity of food/ ration.
